Uncertain of the cause of death?
We are experienced in representing families during ht often distressing circumstances when a loved one dies in suspicious circumstances. We provide advice regarding the Coronial process. It is not necessary to be represented at the inquest by a solicitor but doctors may have been negligent, motives may exist for people to commit crimes, evidence may indicate suspicious circumstances but may prove to be benign. Witnesses require cross examination in the Coroner's Court. Evidence from the Coronial may have an impact on future proceedings criminal and civil. We will advise you of the:
• circumstances when a death must be disclosed to a Coroner;
• request for inquest & witnesses to attend at the inquest;
• legal representation at the inquest including instructing the right action if for example if civil-criminal action will likely follow the Coronial;
• objections to post mortem examination & applications to NSW Supreme Court in respect to all matters of inquiry respecting the family wishes.
