Probate is the procedure by which a Will is approved by the Supreme Court of N. S.W. as the valid and last Will of a deceased testator.

The new Succession Act 2006 which came into force in 2008 has changed the landscape of Wills and how to safely bequeath your estate.

The NSW Succession Act 2006 (replacing the old Wills Probate and Administration Act 1898) came into effect on 1 March 2008.

Family Provisions
new laws are in place through the amending Act called the Succession Amendment (Family Provisions) Act 2008 which commences as at 1 March 2009.
