PRO BONO NOTICE & APPLICATIONS

We do not accept Legal Aid cases, however Dom Velcic & Co is a law firm with a strongly held dedication to performing pro bono legal work. For years, we have been known in the suburbs of Sydney for our record of pro bono representation and community service - a record based on the belief that there is more to our profession than advocacy for the advantaged. Our commitment to providing a voice for those without one is demonstrated by pro bono contributions that range from those with intellectual and physical disabilities to litigation on behalf of individuals who lack the means to secure necessities as fundamental as housing, adequate medical care and a safe home environment. In addition to our own work we are regular and longstanding advisers volunteering with the Intellectual Disability Rights Service. Through these efforts we work to enhance the quality of life for many in our local communities.

Our Pro Bono activities are:

• Expansive – each year we work with dozens of individuals who could not otherwise afford our legal services across many jurisdictions ranging from family law, criminal law, intellectual property law, property law, probate law, employment law and civil law.

• Valuable – to equally treat all of our clients and ensure our efforts achieve real results bettering our client's lives.

• Founded on a key objective – expand the contribution lawyers make in the community to develop a greater culture of fairness in society and to encourage other law firms to take on referrals we may not otherwise be able to accommodate.
